I've had this dream once a week for as long as I can remember, on Wednesday (In the dream its wednesday)I am sleeping and a small door opens above my head. In a space behind the door is the disembodied head of an older man, it is dark green and has indistinct features. I try to close the door, but I never can, and in the middle of screaming, in my dream, I wake up. In the dream I am always wearing a long white cotton nightgown with lace around the collar and sleeves. In the dream I begin screaming for the person who is closest to me. When I was young, it was my parents. Now, it is my partner. They never come, even though I scream for what seems like hours. As I scream, the head floats closer to me and almost goes through the doorway some nights. I wake up terrified, often unable to get back to sleep, even at 3:00 in the morning. If someone has any interpretation for this, please help.

Dude it rocks that you are in touch with ur feminine side! Apart from that, I think the nightgown might signify a vulnerable side of you that you feel is threatened by something (the head in the dream). But you feel powerless to protect yourself. The threat might even be from within yourself. so you should think carefully if you have any deep-set issues and deal with them pronto! Hope it helps!

maybe u are afraid of yourself..an older being maybe. you seem to shout for help but once ur parents and now ur partner dont seem to listen.
i think something happened in ur life that you want to be able to tell these people close to you but you dont know how...i dont know if this is true, but these dreams can be more true than you think. i remember studying about dreams and they said that it was the processes of ur day or things in your life that are on ur mind is also things you to take with you when you dream. look in ur life and what may trouble you and share with ur family...maybe its ur body telling you that you need some form of release to have some peace...wish you well..
Your great-great-greatuncle is the one who is responsible for the dreams. He wanted to tell you how his grandpa died and he was murdered by Richard (Rick" for short). They were best friends but they Richard was jealous of his money so he killed him and stole it. You are wearing a nightgown because you are portraying your great-great-great-great-grandpa who was there at the time.

It's sad to me that no one comes to help you. No one hears your screams. But I think the point is that you have to be the one who listens and responds to it.
It's curious to me that the disembodied head is an older man. Could it be that you had a very strict upbringing and what holds you hostage in your life are the expectations of a parent or strict authority figure? Whatever the internal threat comes from, it is keeping you from what is precious to you. You can be the one who comforts the part of you that is screaming in your dreams when you face the threat in your waking life and break its hold over you.
It's difficult to figure out dreams without knowing much about the person having them. In general I would say you have been having some problems being "heard".
I believe the heads may be individuals or entities that you want to understand you, listen to you but are not responding. You are screaming, "hear me". You have fear because what you need heard is important.
The nightgown? Are you male or female? Are you trying to "come out of the closet" or have you already and been rejected by those you need to accept you? Are you screaming because of rejection?
Dreams are full of metaphors for life. Some dreams are produced due to exposure to stimuli from other events that are unreal in your daily life, movies or books or games. Some represent unfinished business. Some are unrealistic interpretations your brain produces due to actual fears. What you need to do is literally sit down and figure out what stresses you are dealing with that might cause disturbed sleep. What do you fear? Who is not listening?
Can't tell you what your dream means but I have found in the past that writing them down ( as you have here ) can help to set your mind at rest and maybe they won't occur again. It might help also to get a sheet of paper and hand write it all out in as much detail as you can - you don't have to show it to anybody if you don't want to.

It means one day you will be gay.
Maybe it is from a scary event that happened in your life when you were younger with a head being cut off or something.
When you're in deep sleep your breathing slows sometimes to dangerous levels and your brain has to conjour up things to kickstart you awake and make your heart pump faster. Usually the images are things you have come to associate with fear to cause an adrenilin rush, maybe from a scary movie you saw as a child.
Once you realize this you can control your dream, you'll begin to hear a clear message to wake up and shift position so you can breathe easier, I guarantee if you wake mid dream, you'll be on your back!?? Right or not? Our body struggles to breath in this position. Next time say THANKS to the floating head, wake up and turn to our side. I do to my dinosaurs!
Hi, sounds pretty distressing I know quite alot of dream interpretation but I would recommend seeing a clairvoiant or medium in a home visit, I think you will find the answer you are looking for, easy to say but try not be afraid you wont be harmed or it would have happened ny now,

Lets put the gay theory to one side (though it does make sense)
You have to ask yourself why are wednesdays significant?
Did something horrible happen on a wednesday or in your working week are you more stressed around this time.
It sounds to me that you are having a memory from your very early childhood something spooked you as a child or even a baby.
You cried out but nobody answered immediately and so you felt abandoned. Your clothing indicates that you feel you aren' t macho enough for your loved ones the head can see you and this makes you feel helpless and vulnerable because you can't change who you are (why should you).
This vulnerability terrifies you, the face can see the real you and nobody is there to help you because you don't want them to see you and be disappointed in your femminine side.
Nobody will ever hear you until you are comfortable that they love you for you not the persona you project.
The wednesday thing needs more looking at though.
OK friend. Here’s my advice and disclaimer. The image of dreams is flexible, so you cannot buy a book to tell you ‘this’ symbolizes ‘that’. However, what is consistent in dreams is emotions. The doorway is to a different ‘place’, but this is not a physical place because the kitchen door does not float in the air. So this doorway is to a ‘spiritual’ plane, and judging by your fear of it, we’re talking the afterlife or death.
In ‘death-land’ is an indistinct green face. A face is a person. Green usually means life. Indistinct means you feel you don’t really know this thing. But it’s come for a visit, so it sure as hell knows you. And you’re afraid of it , so we can presume you feel it’s powerful, dangerous and unhappy with you.

The nightgown is something a child would wear. White is innocence or purity. So the white gown not only infers a sense of childlike helplessness, but also innocence. Which means you feel this impending judgment is somehow unfair.
But there’s one little hiccup here….
The gown is lined with lace, which isn’t something a little boy would typically wear.
So I’d say either:
A) You are gay, and think God’s gonna kill you because of it
OR
B) That white nightgown is an Altar Boy uniform, and you had a run in with a bad priest.
