Can you analyze my dream?serious answers only please??

10:13

I had a dream that I cut off strips of an old cotton nightgown and then began eating it with hummus,I ate this old cotton gown in strips and I waited a long time but it would not get digested,so I started to try pull it out of my stomach and throat, and at the same time became aware that it was cleansing my stomach just like they do in yoga where someone swallows a cloth and then pulls it out to cleanse. But it was really hard to pull the strips out and one would not come out and It was not getting digested so I became really afraid and started going around asking people how to get rid of it.Then the dream changed into me becoming a pregnant lady that just gave birth, the baby drank allot of bottles but my breasts would make no milk,I was really weak, and I noticed I was in my old home I grew up in in my childhood bedroom. No one was home and I was alone I heard noises coming from downstairs and there was a guy with a knife,I tried calling the police but he tried stabbing me anyway...

That must have been some dream. Dreams are usually metaphorical in nature, this is the realm of the sub-conscience. Logic is the world of the conscience. At some point in your dream, your logic was trying to literalize the metaphor, which creates problems in itself.

Since you said that it resembled cleansing, then it would tell me that for some reason, you feel the need to be cleansed. The question is wither or not you feel the need of a physical cleansing or a spiritual cleansing. If you are concerned about the high calorie food that comes between Thanksgiving and New Years, then you could be experiencing some guilt from giving into the pleasures of feasting. If you swallowed cotton, then you know that you can not digest it. So you dreamed that you pulled it out, but what if you couldn't, always some doubt about how sane it is to swallow something you can't digest and what would the consequences be. So the dream tries to justify the irrational behavior. What are justifiable reasons for showing a tummy bulge if it were not for weight gain.. The irrationally swallowing of cotton or a pregnancy, which is more rational. Being pregnant is more rational... but then, you are not at that point in your life that you want to have a baby, so the 10 minute prgnancy did not allow you to prepare for the nurtuing of a baby, (milk production, etc.) The dream was a series of irrational acts followed by an attempt to justify the irrational acts by explaination, or changing the events to something else. It was like you jumped out of the frying pan into the fire.

If you are not in a deep sleep and you are restless, then your conscience mind trys to impose its will on the dream. It mucks up the works because you are not going with the flow and you can't suspend belief in the bizzare. This adds additional conflict to an area that you would normally not have any.

you are going to be prosperous but will need to focus and ask God to help you protect that prosperity

One would have to understand your childhood to answer this question. This is just a guess. But, are you conflicted with something you might have believed while you were a child that might not be true now? Something that maybe you could past falsely to your future children? What "secrets" do you know of your childhood? This might be a place to start.

You need to remove yourself from any questionable activities you may be involved in. This is why you were compelled to clean yourself, for the sake of your child. Yes, you may be rich, but by what means? Stop it, get a legit job and live happy and safe with your baby when he comes for real.

well, it depends on the problem which disturbes you

I'm going to make a nightgown, but I'm not sure what fabric would be the most comfortable to use?

10:12

I was planning to make a nightgown replica to this nightgown on this website:

http://www.babyssb.co.jp/shopping/innner/084010.html

The original makers used 100% Polyester, and Chiffon on the outside. What sort of fabric should I use to make it as comfortable as possible? A flannel slip on the inside, with chiffon on the outside? Is there another type of "floaty, light" fabric that is more comfortable than Chiffon? Just in general, what should I use?

Also, if anyone could point me to a few online shops with good, and reasonably priced 100% cotton lace, that would also be much appreciated :D

Thank you!~

You really want to keep t semi sheer and light and floaty... If you can't run to something like silk habotai, try a nice quality cotton voile. You could also try a handkerchief weight linen...

Cotton lace to die for! But you'll need to email them for stockists: http://www.eurolaces.com/organiccottonlace.htm

Nothing like so fine:

http://www.dharmatrading.com/products/lace.html

http://www.laceheaven.com/cottonlace.html

You could use cotton, cotton/poly blend or polyester. If you go to Walmart's fabric section, you can get fabric as cheap as a dollar a yard.

Get a 200 thread count cotton, it will make the most comfortable night gown.

Ask the customer service staff at http://www.inweavefabric.com They would be happy to help you!

Silk!

you like silk then you could fine a silk pair of pj i love those and theres nothing wrong with cross dressing

Hi!

(Dont mind the first answerer's extreme ignorance by the way.)

I would post you a link but since the poor dresses are unfortunately modeled for display by FEMALES, and I cant take the risk to get my eyes sore by looking at them. But if you are looking for color suggestions I would go for navy/midnight blue.

I bet you'll look good in them too^_^

I am a male to female crossdresser i have a question for women?

10:13

why do most women wear only cotton pajamas as opposed to nylon nightgowns. i love nightgowns the are so comfortable. i hate cotton pajamas.

When it comes to sleeping, I'm not big on pj's with long legged pants. I prefer chemises most of the time, and long gowns in the winter. As for the cotton versus the rest, I've become hooked on cotton. Yes, nylon and satin feels nice, but the all around soft comfort of cotton can't be beat.

If you want pure luxury, choose silk. Years ago I had a black silk gown, with a red silk robe. The design was very simple, yet the sheen of the material and the depth of the colors made them absolutely beautiful. And talk about the ultimate in how it felt against my skin. Plus it was cool in the summer, but warm in the winter. At the time it was very expensive, and I had saved for months before finally buying myself this once in a lifetime treat. Every time I wore it, which was almost every night, I felt beautiful.

Cotton pj are totally comfortable. I love them. It seems like you're "dressing up" to wear something fancy just to sleep in. But, then, I'm kinda butch, so I might not be the person to ask.

I'd say warmth, and wear & tear.

Your question reminds me of this old chestnut...

What's the difference between a transvestite and a transsexual? Comfortable shoes.

I wear what keeps me warm and comfortable.

i am a crossdresser too i like both we should talk. email me at carsonjenkins@gmail.com

I just had this dream again can someone help me with it please?

10:16

I've had this dream once a week for as long as I can remember, on Wednesday (In the dream its wednesday)I am sleeping and a small door opens above my head. In a space behind the door is the disembodied head of an older man, it is dark green and has indistinct features. I try to close the door, but I never can, and in the middle of screaming, in my dream, I wake up. In the dream I am always wearing a long white cotton nightgown with lace around the collar and sleeves. In the dream I begin screaming for the person who is closest to me. When I was young, it was my parents. Now, it is my partner. They never come, even though I scream for what seems like hours. As I scream, the head floats closer to me and almost goes through the doorway some nights. I wake up terrified, often unable to get back to sleep, even at 3:00 in the morning. If someone has any interpretation for this, please help.

Thanks for you help

Dude it rocks that you are in touch with ur feminine side! Apart from that, I think the nightgown might signify a vulnerable side of you that you feel is threatened by something (the head in the dream). But you feel powerless to protect yourself. The threat might even be from within yourself. so you should think carefully if you have any deep-set issues and deal with them pronto! Hope it helps!

sounds like you have some unfinished business you need to tend to .

maybe u are afraid of yourself..an older being maybe. you seem to shout for help but once ur parents and now ur partner dont seem to listen.

i think something happened in ur life that you want to be able to tell these people close to you but you dont know how...i dont know if this is true, but these dreams can be more true than you think. i remember studying about dreams and they said that it was the processes of ur day or things in your life that are on ur mind is also things you to take with you when you dream. look in ur life and what may trouble you and share with ur family...maybe its ur body telling you that you need some form of release to have some peace...wish you well..

Your great-great-greatuncle is the one who is responsible for the dreams. He wanted to tell you how his grandpa died and he was murdered by Richard (Rick" for short). They were best friends but they Richard was jealous of his money so he killed him and stole it. You are wearing a nightgown because you are portraying your great-great-great-great-grandpa who was there at the time.

I believe that we are all the people and symbols in our dreams. So, you are the person screaming, the floating head, and you are the person you are screaming for (parents/partner).

To understand the dream, you need to decide what these people represent to you. I think it's pretty clear from the information you've already given that the head is some sort of threat that you don't know how to deal with. And your parent/partner represent what is dear to you. In your dream, note that the head doesn't threaten you directly, but blackmails you by threatening your loved ones. All you can do is scream, and no one helps you.

So, in your waking life, what do you really want to have, be or do that you feel you cannot do because it would hurt someone or something else you love? What do you feel helpless to change or resolve?

Remember, you are the threat, and you are the one threatened. It is an internal conflict.

It's sad to me that no one comes to help you. No one hears your screams. But I think the point is that you have to be the one who listens and responds to it.

It's curious to me that the disembodied head is an older man. Could it be that you had a very strict upbringing and what holds you hostage in your life are the expectations of a parent or strict authority figure? Whatever the internal threat comes from, it is keeping you from what is precious to you. You can be the one who comforts the part of you that is screaming in your dreams when you face the threat in your waking life and break its hold over you.

It's difficult to figure out dreams without knowing much about the person having them. In general I would say you have been having some problems being "heard".

I believe the heads may be individuals or entities that you want to understand you, listen to you but are not responding. You are screaming, "hear me". You have fear because what you need heard is important.

The nightgown? Are you male or female? Are you trying to "come out of the closet" or have you already and been rejected by those you need to accept you? Are you screaming because of rejection?

Dreams are full of metaphors for life. Some dreams are produced due to exposure to stimuli from other events that are unreal in your daily life, movies or books or games. Some represent unfinished business. Some are unrealistic interpretations your brain produces due to actual fears. What you need to do is literally sit down and figure out what stresses you are dealing with that might cause disturbed sleep. What do you fear? Who is not listening?

Can't tell you what your dream means but I have found in the past that writing them down ( as you have here ) can help to set your mind at rest and maybe they won't occur again. It might help also to get a sheet of paper and hand write it all out in as much detail as you can - you don't have to show it to anybody if you don't want to.

A bit funny how you anly have the dream on a Weednesday.

hope this works for you.

It means one day you will be gay.

Maybe it is from a scary event that happened in your life when you were younger with a head being cut off or something.

When you're in deep sleep your breathing slows sometimes to dangerous levels and your brain has to conjour up things to kickstart you awake and make your heart pump faster. Usually the images are things you have come to associate with fear to cause an adrenilin rush, maybe from a scary movie you saw as a child.

Once you realize this you can control your dream, you'll begin to hear a clear message to wake up and shift position so you can breathe easier, I guarantee if you wake mid dream, you'll be on your back!?? Right or not? Our body struggles to breath in this position. Next time say THANKS to the floating head, wake up and turn to our side. I do to my dinosaurs!

Hi, sounds pretty distressing I know quite alot of dream interpretation but I would recommend seeing a clairvoiant or medium in a home visit, I think you will find the answer you are looking for, easy to say but try not be afraid you wont be harmed or it would have happened ny now,

sweet dreams x

Lets put the gay theory to one side (though it does make sense)

You have to ask yourself why are wednesdays significant?

Did something horrible happen on a wednesday or in your working week are you more stressed around this time.

It sounds to me that you are having a memory from your very early childhood something spooked you as a child or even a baby.

You cried out but nobody answered immediately and so you felt abandoned. Your clothing indicates that you feel you aren' t macho enough for your loved ones the head can see you and this makes you feel helpless and vulnerable because you can't change who you are (why should you).

This vulnerability terrifies you, the face can see the real you and nobody is there to help you because you don't want them to see you and be disappointed in your femminine side.

Nobody will ever hear you until you are comfortable that they love you for you not the persona you project.

The wednesday thing needs more looking at though.

OK friend. Here’s my advice and disclaimer. The image of dreams is flexible, so you cannot buy a book to tell you ‘this’ symbolizes ‘that’. However, what is consistent in dreams is emotions. The image you see, makes you feel the same as the image it represents. I think I know what your dream means, but your images may mean something different to you than me. OK?

* Interpretation *

The doorway is to a different ‘place’, but this is not a physical place because the kitchen door does not float in the air. So this doorway is to a ‘spiritual’ plane, and judging by your fear of it, we’re talking the afterlife or death.

In ‘death-land’ is an indistinct green face. A face is a person. Green usually means life. Indistinct means you feel you don’t really know this thing. But it’s come for a visit, so it sure as hell knows you. And you’re afraid of it , so we can presume you feel it’s powerful, dangerous and unhappy with you.

This is the face of God. (or godlike authority figure)

And I don’t mean the benevolent, forgiving New Testament version. This is the stern, judgmental Old Testament Lord of Death, who has no qualms burning a city or flooding the earth. God’s proximity to the doorway means He’s pondering whether to punish or kill you.

Your parents or partner can’t help you because they are no match for this kind of authority.

The nightgown is something a child would wear. White is innocence or purity. So the white gown not only infers a sense of childlike helplessness, but also innocence. Which means you feel this impending judgment is somehow unfair.

But there’s one little hiccup here….

The gown is lined with lace, which isn’t something a little boy would typically wear.

So I’d say either:

A) You are gay, and think God’s gonna kill you because of it

OR

B) That white nightgown is an Altar Boy uniform, and you had a run in with a bad priest.

Well, good luck, and JFTR I hope I’m completely wrong about this.

Can a women be sexy in a nightgown?

10:12

not a sexy little lingerie nighty, but the basic long , cotton types?

I'm a girl but I'd say yes if she had a good body.

I'm sure Angelina would be.

BUT they are certainly not the sexiest of attire. Why dress in a long grandma nightie when you could wear a hot short satin one.

sexy is a state of mind. my bf thinks im the sexiest wen i come inside after working in the garden lol .. so i guess really it depends on how a woman carries herself. if she feels sexy she will show it even in a cotton nightie.. its all bout confidence and confidence is very sexy, dont u think?!

Not for me, unless they are wearing stockings and a garter belt under it! With them even a burlap sack becomes sexy!

yes, but it solely depends on the woman wearing it. But why limit yourself to a night gown when you can wear sexy lingerie.

yea of course xD

Yea, depends on the girl.

i think so

I think so.

People can be sexy no matter how they are dressed.

of course, depends on the woman who's wearing it.

of course..

Cotton long nightgown or long t-shirt?

10:12

what do u prefer

I SLEEP IN BOXERS, BUT FOR A LADY FRIEND, i PREFER A SHORT TEE-SHIRT

I like long tees as nightgowns! NO, I'm not a tomboy, actually, quite the opposite, I'm such a girly girl. I just think that they're more comfortable. Nightgowns are so old-fashioned!

tank tops and cotton shorts

cotton T-shirt

same thing

naked is best

A night gown if its sexy lycra look, but if has to choose b/w 2 of cotton ones, then for sure a t shirt

cotton long nightgown, its comfortable and covers your body.

im a girl. long t shirt

one of my dads or my bfs big t-shirt

Long t-shirt, especially if its you mans.

Long T-shirt.

long t-shirt

cotton t-shirt with some shorts or undies

Neither: they are demon-posessed and in the middle of the night they try to strangle me . So in selfdefence I sleep in the buff. But I don't trust the sheet either.....

long t-shirt !!

cotton t-shirt

your boyfriends varsity t shirt duh

Where can I get a knitting pattern for a girl's nightgown?

00:06

I want to knit my 6yo daughter some light cotton nightgowns for spring but I can't find any patterns. I'm looking for a simple pattern with a plain bodice and a full/swing skirt. I'd like to add my own embellishments like lace edging on the shoulder straps. But I need a plain pattern to start with. Thanks!

That's a lot of knitting, but here is a link. Good luck.

Hobby Lobby, JoAnn Fabrics and also Ebay

Try knitting.com or even on the DIY network, they have a knitting show that might give you some links. You might have to improvise some of it, but if you can find pieces of what you're looking for, you can put them together to make one.

Cotton yellowed with age: How do I remove it?

10:13

A friend sewed a 100 % cotton nightgown and stored it for some months. The cotton yellowed over time and now she cannot wash or bleach this out. Anyone know how to get it white again?

Try Oxi-Clean. It may remove the yellow. Soak it in the Oxi-clean bath for a couple of hours. This comes in a spray bottle which I also use, but the powder would be better for this situation. You can get it at most grocery stores as well as Wal-Mart.

Carbona makes a color nuetrulizer for fabrics it makes almost anything pure white no mater what color it was to begin with

it can be found in the laundry area at Walmart

costs about 2 dollars

oxeyclean,

Use OxyClean, it's expensive, but it works

Try a blueing agent. They sell it at supermarkets in the laundry section. Also, Rite Dye makes a whitener.

I have had this and the best thing to use is Fab with Bleech also add a some oxyclean...works wonders for dinged or any stains. Good Luck!!

Oxy-Clean should do it. If not, try some bluing, but be sure to follow the directions exactly -- unless you want the nighgown to be blue rippled.

Alcohol - like the kind that you keep in the cabinet for cuts and scrapes

Dab a little on(you'll see the ink start to run) rub, rinse(cold water only), repeat-repeat-repeat-repeat - till it all comes out

(what works with the hairspray is the alcohol that is in the hairspray-most people are told to use hairspray b/c it is more easily found when you are not at home and you are trying to remove an ink stain - but the very best thing is the regular alcohol)

ps if you have already tried the WD-40 (I have never tried it and I don't know if it works on ink) you will be left with and oil stain - to get the oil stain out use dawn - rub it in - rinse -repeat - repeat repeat - at least three times and do not throw this article of clothing in the dryer until you have inspected it to make sure there aren't any types of stains left b/c after it goes in the dryer it will be set in and there will be nothing you can do about it

Generally

Biharies use Papaaya for removing the ink...

But you try little milk in a spoon drop over the gown and rub that gentle and was out

Dont use Ethers, Alcohol or esters to remove the stains as it may perish texture of cloth.

Put hairspray on, it let it stand till you see the ink running, then wash as usual.

Use Exit soap, it amazing for removing pen ink from heaps of surfaces and materials. Look up the website for some stories about what people have used it for.

My mother put me onto it and I don't know what I would of done with out it. The on line supermarket is pretty good to!

Try hairspray... that should work. If that doesn't, try the waterless hand cleanser that mechanics use to clean their hands and a denture brush to scrub it with. That works great on stains!

try wd-40

I use hair spray to get ink out of clothes. Spray the ink and get it good and wet with the hair spray and then wash immediately. Repeat if it all doesn't come out. Good luck!

I'm interested in fashion and eventually want to have my own line and open up my own boutique, but I don't want to go to fashion school. My parents won't pay for it and I want the traditional college experience.

Are there any GOOD (big emphasis on that because academically I'm doing pretty well) colleges/universities that have fashion majors and programs?

Apart from college, a great way to get started in the fashion industry is to join an online community. http://www.chictopia.com is a awesome way to showcase your fashion interest outside of school, and it has had users featured in TeenVogue, ElleSpain, and WWD, so it helps for getting noticed. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/accuse_write?qid=20080904161310AAH2eej&kid=NqZKIWD1UlCDVgJspHJW&s=comm&date=2008-10-21+16%3A04%3A54&.crumb=

Parsons The New School For Design in New York City is known for fashion design. Its really competitve and will have to work hard. During senior year, there's a senior show where only a handful students gets picked to show their design. There's two shows one for family and friends, and the other one http://answers.yahoo.com/question/accuse_write?qid=20080904161310AAH2eej&kid=IIV6LXrCDkHtpCWsMqBS&s=comm&date=2008-11-11+08%3A09%3A53&.crumb=

How do you start off working in the fashion industry?

21:54

I am extremely interested in all areas of fashion. I keep my nose in Allure, Elle, Cosmo, Vogue and the tabloids. I love celebrities and their apparel. How do you get your foot in the door of fashion? Fashion journalism (I'm a great writer), fashion consulting (I adore clothes, accesoriese, etc.) or just working for a magazine? Help! If you want to see some of my work, let me know.

OMG, If i wasn't taking accounting I would do the same..

try interning for the magazines, just tell them how dedicated u are and show good grades at school.

Teen Vogue is a good place to intern to

Well, there is a number of ways and one of them is to work for a company like Macy's and they will send you to school if you apply and get approved. Then you could study fashion trends and become a buyer for a department store. There are a number of fashion schools or you could intern for a fashion magazine or company. It's all about starting small and getting noticed.

I want to be a fashion designer- which books should I start reading/studying to really understand fashion?

22:48

For a long time now I've wanted to be a fashion designer, or stylist. I already read fashion magazines, but they don't provide much in the way of history, etc. Which books would you suggest to a teenager who wanted to understand the history and ways of fashion and fashion design?

I wanted to become a fashion designer, but after I did some research, I realized about 1% out of 99 make it ANYWHERE. They usually try and start there own clothing line which fails, or start there own botique that fails. Most just end up at a cash register in Victoria's Secret for 20 years untill they realize they arent going anywhere and change there career. I would advise you NOT to go into this industry unless you are REMARKABLY talented. There ARE lot of talenented people, but you have to be a fashion genius to get anywhere. If you still like fashion, makeup, etc. find a niche market in something and creat your own new trend or product. Or just become a makeup artist.

I'm sorry to slap you so hard in the face, but I know you will regret it if you become a fashion designer.

Good Luck!

Start getting some sewing lessons. I know you want to be a designer, but this will help you understand the technical part of designing: a persons body, structure, seams, fabric textures and colors. Trust me, it will help you a lot. And its tons of fun!

Also, just get some books a the library, magazines, watch project runway, and what not to wear. Hope this helps!

Honestly, start watching Project Runway on BRAVO.

It is inspiring and gives you an idea what the business is like.
